The Candidate and Responsibilities


The Junior Accounts Payable Accountant position is based out of Vancouver.   


Applicants for this position will be self-motivated individuals, possessing strong interpersonal skills, are attentive to details, and considers themselves accurate and comfortable with high volume invoicing.


The candidate will report directly to the Accounting Manager and work directly with a seasoned Accounts Payable Clerk.


The Junior Accounts Payable Accountant specific duties and responsibilities will include:  


  • Coding, entering and processing invoices in a timely manner
  • Management of AP inbox
  • Supports communication with vendors
  • Ad hoc AP reporting
  • Supports the Senior Accounts Payable Accountant with the cheque run process
  • Acts as backup to the Senior Accounts Payable Accountant, as needed
  • Respond to requests and inquires from other departments and external vendors
  • Other responsibilities as required

 Competencies, Qualifications and Required Experience


  • Completion of Accounting diploma/certificate or equivalent post-secondary program
  • Minimum 1-2 years in a high volume Accounts Payable, experience in Real Estate is an asset
  • Knowledge of Yardi Voyager and Payscan is a strong asset
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
