The Candidate and Responsibilities

The Senior Manager of Acquisitions position is based out of Vancouver. 

Applicants for this position will be self- motivated individuals with a high degree of initiative and will possess strong interpersonal skills, be attentive to detail, and able to build trusting relationships. The candidate will report directly to the Director of Acquisitions and work in conjunction with the Partners, and all other departments. 

The Senior Manager of Acquisitions will be active in the following primary responsibilities both in an individual and senior management team setting:

 Department Accountabilities

  • Oversee market analysis for select acquisitions
  • Source and identify potential acquisition targets / investment opportunities
  • Responsible for due diligence oversight of select acquisitions
  • Oversee the creation of select acquisition analysis of specific properties including advanced financial analysis and due diligence process
  • Oversee select micro market studies for specific geographic regions
  • Expand acquisition internal databases & external relationships
  • Provide regular updates on current events/trends impacting real estate in specific regions to the company
  • Manage, review and prepare marketing materials and reports as needed
  • Manage, review and prepare presentations for the Investment Committee
  • Manage, create, implement and propose internal process documents and templates
  • Manage, train and mentor other members of the team

Knowledge, Credentials and Required Experience

  • Has wide-ranging and in-depth experience in Real Estate acquisition and expertise in all aspects of real estate transaction underwriting.
  • Proven transaction expertise with track record of implementation and development of best practices
  • Highly knowledgeable in due diligence / different types of real estate value-add processes
  • Experience in Asset Management, while not required, would be an asset to this role
  • Minimum education level held is bachelor’s degree, complemented by a master’s degree, MBA or equivalent experience
  • CA / CFA Designation is an asset
  • Minimum of 7 years of work experience in real estate
